PROJECT OVERVIEW
Project Name: The Muse
Location: Dubai
Client: A young British couple, moving to live in Dubai with their two elderly parents and new born twins- boy and a girl. 3 generational family.
The background of the project:
To present a high- level vision of their New build Nature Inspired villa by creating unique, personal and full of character spaces, interconnected to each other. To be recognizable as a statement of a great Sustainable design and a peace of art, that is not only pleasant to the eye, but functional, practical and dynamic.
Internal Spaces: The building needs to provide accommodation for themselves, separate accommodation with full amenities for disabled people for two elderly parents, one of which is using a wheel chair and accommodation for new born twins- boy and girl as well as a guest bedroom.
External spaces: Requirements for Leisure and Retreat area, where the family can sustain their wellbeing, a Wild and a Vegetable garden, where they can grow their own food and enjoy gardening, an Entertaining area for parties, socializing and spend a quality time with the family and friends.
Main Project Goals:
To formulate a comprehensive sustainable design strategy of Biophilic design principles, based on the client`s brief.
Client Needs and Specification:
Big stress and articulation is put on: 1.Form follows function. 2. Good design transcends time. 3. Proportion is key ( including furniture, golden rectangular, Golden mean. 4. Scale, - not to big, not to small, play with small, medium and large volumes, forms and patterns. 4. Rhythm- repetition, graduation, transition, opposition. 5. Balance- mainly Radial and also symmetrical and asymmetrical to create curiosity and surprise. 7. Emphasis. 8. Harmony- unity, variety.
Deliverables:
Architectural, Interior Design and Construction plans, Sections and Elevations, including Landscape.
Full “Concept to completion” design service, supported by feasibility studies, research, consultations, and compliance to Local regulations and Authority requirements.
